Mark Miller is a photographer who has traveled the world with his wife Victoria Menezes Miller. She is the inspiration and provides the encouragement for his work. Using primarily medium format (6x9 and 6x4.5) he has captured the places of their travels in many locations in India, Turkey, Africa, and Europe. Often using black & white film, he has photographed the textures and the feeling of those people, animals and places around him, using color film from time to time almost as an afterthought.
From a young age Mark was taking photos – and with limited formal training at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Media Lab (photography and film development course), he has experimented with many techniques. Over the last years Mark has undertaken a few selected semi-professional photo assignments, focusing on portraits in both candid and studio-type settings.
Mark currently has a catalogue of more than 3’000 images, spanning the world and including many specialty works: Cowfighting Competitions in the Swiss German-speaking Cantons, Istanbul Religious Architecture, Fête de Genève (multiple), Fête de la Musique (multiple), African Safari Series (multiple), Mombasa & Zanzibar, ArtAir (multiple), Prague, Budapest, Paris, Italy (Amalfi Coast, Capri), and many others.
Mark is also an executive with a Geneva-based company in inspection and testing.
